Results from 20 years of feeding trials with HP 300
A meta-analysis of 20 external feeding trials across 10 countries has confirmed what our customers have long experienced: that weaning feed containing HP 300 is more efficient than feed supplemented with other soy or animal-based proteins.
Feed intake, weight gain and feed conversion ratio are significantly improved – even after supplementation with HP 300 has come to an end. Performance related to dosage The feeding trials measured three primary performance parameters: average daily feed intake (ADFI), average daily gain (ADG) and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The figures below show how each parameter improves when feed is supplemented with increasing doses of HP 300, ranging from 3.5% to 20%.
To test any carry-over effect of feeding HP 300, weaning pigs were fed a common diet for a period after HP 300 supplementation.
For every percent HP 300 received over the supplementation period, piglets gained an extra 0.1kg/0.2 lb live body weight compared to the control during the post-supplementation period. This shows that HP 300 has a positive carry-over effect on performance. With an inclusion of 20% HP 300, up to 2kg/4 lb extra weight gain was obtained in the nursery in total.
Performance example with 10% HP 300
Up to 1kg/2 lb extra weight gain in the nursery with HP 300
For every percent HP 300 received over the supplementation period, piglets gained an extra 0.1kg live body weight compared to the control during the post-supplementation period. At a dosage of 10% HP 300, up to 1kg extra weight gain was obtained in the nursery in total.
Facts on the feeding trials
• 20 feeding trials
• Across 10 countries

Product benefits
Feed is the critical factor in animal production, accounting for up to 70% of total costs. Using HAMLET PROTEIN specialty proteins in young animal feed, you can optimize feed efficiency – and maximize your return on investment.
The key is their easy absorption by immature guts. Although added to feed for only a limited period in early life, our proteins have a strong carry-over effect on animal growth and performance. Feeding trials have documented a higher slaughter weight compared to animals fed standard soybean meal.
